As enterprise IT departments struggle to offer more services with fewer resources, many are turning to open-source software to create and deliver Web applications.

MySQL: Today, more enterprises are turning to open-source software to help them deliver Web applications for the lowest cost. Typically, they pick and choose different open-source programs to meet their needs. For example, they might run an Apache Web server, a JBoss application server, a LifeRay portal, and so on.
