Oracle-Google Patent Trial Put Off to 2012

The judge says the long trial will likely be a "hardship" for jurors.

Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal: U.S. District Court Judge William Alsup, who is presiding in the Oracle-Google Android patent dispute, has said that the trial will not begin until next year. He also said that he expects the trial to take a long time and that jurors in the case will likely consider it a "hardship."

The judge had previously ordered both CEOs -- Google's Larry Page and Oracle's Larry Elison -- to meet face-to-face and work out a settlement, but they were unable to come to an agreement.
