Former Clinton Adviser Joins Microsoft

Mark Penn will become a corporate vice president overseeing strategic and special projects.

The New York Times: Microsoft has hired Mark Penn to server as corporate vice president for strategic and special projects. Penn, best known for his role as a strategic adviser to Bill and Hillary Clinton, will report directly to CEO Steve Ballmer. He will lead a "small interdisciplinary team" working on consumer initiatives.

Penn has worked with Microsoft on a number of projects since 1998. He also served as a consultant for Intel.
