iPad Usability Study Reveals What We Do and Don't Like In Apps

Developers need to do a better job of making controls and gestures more obvious.

GigaOm: A report from Nielsen Norman Group show that iPad users don't like to fill out complicated forms from their devices, and that they often don't understand how the controls or gestures in various apps work unless developers make it very obvious. Users said splash or loading screens were very annoying, and they wished that every screen had a back button.

The survey also found that iPad owners generally share the devices with others in their households.
