Mac now accounts for 3 percent of the business PC market -- its highest market share since 1997.

Apple Insider: Analyst Charlie Wolf with Needham & Company is calling attention to the enterprise sales data in Apple's latest quarterly report. "Mac shipments in the business market grew at a torrid 66.0% pace, an order of magnitude higher than the 4.5% shipment growth rate of the business market," he wrote. Although the Mac brand has long been more popular with consumers than with enterprise users, the company has grown its business sales for four quarters in a row and now accounts for 3 percent of the business PC market -- its highest market share since 1997.

If you break down the numbers by size of business, Mac shipments increased 94.7 percent in the "very large business" category, 75.5 percent in "large businesses," 58.1 percent in "medium businesses," and 90.4 percent in "small businesses."
