Researchers have discovered that iOS logs users' locations and stores it in an unencrypted file.

ReadWriteWeb: Data scientists Alasdair Allan and Pete Warden have discovered that Apple's iPhone records users' locations and a time stamp and stores the data in an unencrypted, unprotected file called "consolidated.db." Every time a user syncs an iPhone with another device, the same unprotected file is copied onto that device as well. Security experts say this discovery is troubling as this sort of geographic information is usually well protected.

Allan and Warden have created an iPhone tracker app that generates a map showing the location data stored in your iPhone.
