Computer Weekly: Cisco CEO John Chambers has sent an email to all company employees that calls for some changes within the company, without specifying what form those changes will take. "We have been slow to make decisions, we have had surprises where we should not, and we have lost the accountability that has been a hallmark of our ability to execute consistently for our customers and our shareholders. That is unacceptable," he wrote. "Bottom line, we have lost some of the credibility that is foundational to Cisco's success - and we must earn it back."
Chambers also said that the company will refocus on its core products. This has led some analysts to speculate that Cisco will scale back its line of consumer products to concentrate on enterprise offerings.
