IT Salary Survey 2011

Wednesday Apr 6th 2011 by Staff

IT workers are becoming more productive and more dissatisfied with their pay.

Computerworld: According to Computerworld's 2011 Salary Survey, total average compensation (including salary and bonus) is up 1.4%, a marked improvement from 2010's 0.1 percent increase. In addition, fewer workers are reporting budget cuts, salary cuts or freezes, hiring freezes, permanent layoffs, training cuts or canceled projects this year.

However, a majority of IT workers say they are "significantly affected" by budget cuts and heavier workloads. And despite the increase in pay, fewer IT staffers report being "very satisfied" or "satisfied" with their compensation.
