An IBM report says that cybercriminals are launching more sophisticated, targeted attacks.

eWeek: Last week, IBM released its X-Force 2010 Trend and Risk Report. According to the company, there was an overall increase in new vulnerabilities in 2010, but companies did a better job of fixing those security bugs before they could be exploited. More good news--phishing attacks decreased significantly during the year.

However, the report also contains some bad news--attacks are becoming more sophisticated and more targeted. "From Stuxnet to Zeus Botnets to mobile exploits, a widening variety of attack methodologies is popping up each day," said IBM's Tom Cross.
