ComScore: Verizon iPhone was Top Phone in Feb.

For the same month, Android was the top operating system.

Cnet: Research firm comScore has released a new report which says that Apple's Verizon iPhone was the most popular handset sold in February. However, Apple landed in fifth place (7.5 percent market share) overall among handset manufacturers, behind Samsung (24.8 percent), LG (20.9 percent), Motorola (16.1 percent) and Research in Motion (8.6 percent).

On the operating system side, Google's Android came in first with 33 percent of the market. It was followed by RIM at 28.9 percent and Apple at 25.2 percent.
