Computer Weekly: A new CA survey finds that 54 percent of recent graduates with Information Technology Management for Business (ITMB) degrees believe that IT technical skills are the least important for a career in IT. By contrast, 45 percent said that communication and team skills were the most important.

In addition, the survey found that while 85 percent of the graduates believed they were ready for an IT job, only 50 percent of employers say that graduates have the skills they need.

A separate study by the Open University found that 45 percent of employers said they had trouble finding IT job candidates with relationship management, business process analysis and design, project and program management skills.
