Google Docs Spreadsheets Get More Sophisticated

The cloud-based productivity tool gets filtering and the ability to use non-contiguous data for graphs.

PCWorld: Although Google's Web-based office productivity apps are frequently criticized for their lack of features, the company continues to roll out new capabilities that get them closer and closer to the functionality of desktop apps like Microsoft Office. Now Google is adding two new features to its Spreadsheets program--filtering and the ability to use non-contiguous data for graphs.

In addition, it's now possible to update older versions of all Google Docs files so that they can use newer features.
