Java Founder James Gosling Joins Google

The self described "grumpy curmudgeon" who declined to move from Sun to Oracle says he doesn't yet know what he'll be doing at Google.

Cnet: When Oracle acquired Sun Microsystems, Java founder James Gosling made it clear he wasn't happy with the merger and declined to join Oracle. Now, he has a new position at Google, though it's not yet clear exactly what he'll be doing there. "I don't know what I'll be working on," blogged Gosling. "I expect it'll be a bit of everything, seasoned with a large dose of grumpy curmudgeon."

Apparently, this wasn't the first job offer Gosling received. "One of the toughest things about life is making choices. I had a hard time saying 'no' to a bunch of other excellent possibilities," he wrote.
