Oracle Tops Estimates as Companies Buy Databases in Cloud Push

The company reported sales of $8.76 billion in its third quarter.

Bloomberg: For its third fiscal quarter, Oracle announced profits of 54 center per share, topping analyst expectations of 50 cents a share. Total sales reached $8.76 billion with net income of $2.12 billion.

The company's sales, particularly of database products, have received a boost as enterprises gear up for cloud computing.
