Cisco Unveils Secure Teleworker Products

The company is rolling out a new two-band home office wireless LAN access point and related gear.

Computerworld: Cisco is rolling out several new products designed to make it easier for employees to work from home. The centerpiece of the new offering is a dual-band home office wireless LAN access point called the Aironet 600 Series Office Extend. Because the access point has two channels, work data can travel on a separate data from home data, helping reduce interruptions.

In addition, Cisco is also debuting a 2500 Series wireless LAN controller for office data centers at companies that use the home AP, a Wireless Controller module for the Integrated Service Router and a Wireless Services Module for the Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series switch.
