InformationWeek: The Society for New Communications Research has published the results of its second annual New Symbiosis of Professional Networks Study, which surveys corporate executives on their use of social networks. The survey found that LinkedIn was by far the most popular social media site for execs, with 97 percent of those surveyed using it in the last year. They found that 33 percent of those surveyed used Twitter, and just 20 percent used Facebook. Executive use of both Twitter and Facebook declined sharply since the previous year.
In addition, the survey revealed that 55 percent of executives participate in three to five social networks.
