AT&T to Impose Caps on Broadband Use

DSL users will be limited to 150 GB per month and U-Verse users will have 250 GB per month.

Broadband Reports: After previously capping data use for its mobile users, AT&T has confirmed that it will begin imposing caps for all broadband subscribers on May 2. DSL subscribers will be limited to 150 GB per month, and U-Verse subscribers will have a 250 GB limit. Those who cross the threshold three times in a month will receive overage charges.

According to the company, its average customer uses 18 GB per month, and the new rules should only impact the top 2 percent of users.
