The latest figures from comScore are good for Google, but bad for Microsoft.

ZDNet: According to comScore's quarterly statistics for the three months ending in January 2010, Google's Android was the most popular mobile operating system in the U.S. with 31.2 percent of the market. It overtook second-place RIM, which was the previous leader and now has 30.4 percent of the market. Apple's iOS came in third with 24.7 percent.

The report held bad news for Microsoft and Palm, which both lost market share during the period and each account for less than 10 percent of the market.
