InformationWeek: Compuware's CloudSleuth service has released the results of a test that measured the speed of public cloud computing services. In the test, Microsoft's Azure came out on top, followed by Google App Engine, GoGrid, Amazon EC2, and Rackspace. However, the difference between first place and fifth place was just 0.8 seconds.

"Those guys are all doing a great job," said Compuware's Doug Willoughby, noting the small speed differences among them.
