NY Times: Apple CEO Steve Jobs returned from his medical leave briefly on Wednesday to take the stage to introduce the iPad 2. The new tablet weighs just 1.5 pounds, making it 20 percent lighter than its predecessor. It's also thinner and faster, and it comes with both front and rear cameras. It will be available in both black and white.

Prices for the iPad 2 are the same as for the original iPad--$499 to $829. Data plans will be available from AT&T or Verizon.
