PCWorld: At the Cebit conference, software vendor SAP will unveil Sales OnDemand, a new software-as-a-service (SaaS) product that will compete with Salesforce.com and Microsoft CRM Online. The offering will be the first in a series of new SaaS products that company plans to launch. SAP execs describe the new tool as collaborative, "person-centric" and "sexy." They say it will include native mobile support for iPhones, iPads, BlackBerries and Android phones and tablets.
Sales OnDemand is scheduled to become available for purchase in the second quarter. The company also plans to release similar products for expense management and human resources this year.
