PCWorld: SeaMicro has launched a new server that uses 256 Intel Atom N570 dual-core processors. The low-power chips are usually found in netbooks, but now will handle the workloads in data center servers that run a high volume of Internet transactions.

The SM10000-64 server includes up to 1TB of RAM and up to 64 traditional hard drives or SSDs. Prices start at $148,000.
