Telegraph: On Tuesday, Microsoft pushed out an update for Windows Phone 7. Almost immediately, the company began getting complaints that the update deleted data or "bricked" some Samsung handsets.
Microsoft acknowledged the problem, saying. "We have identified a technical issue with the Windows Phone update process that impacts a small number of phones." A spokesperson added, "We have temporarily taken down the latest software update for Samsung phones in order to correct the issue and as soon as possible will redistribute the update."
