The Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission are looking into the company's new subscription service.

Wall Street Journal: Unnamed sources say antitrust investigators from the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission are looking into Apple's new subscription service. The service, announced earlier this week, takes a 30 percent cut of publishers' fees for content subscriptions on the iPad, iPhone and iPod.

A spokesperson for the E.U. said they know about the subscription service and are also "carefully monitoring the situation."
