IE9 Release Candidate Hits 2M Downloads

The new browser hits a milestone just one week after release.

PC Magazine: One week ago, Microsoft debuted a release candidate for the upcoming Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) browser. Now, the company is announcing that the browser has already been downloaded more than 2 million times.

The browser offers faster performance, better HTML5 support, some do-not-track features and some interface changes. However, IE9 only works on Windows 7 and Vista--not on older versions of Windows, including XP.
