Google Woos Publishers With Payment Service

One day after Apple unveils its subscription payment feature, Google takes the wraps off a similar feature that takes a smaller cut of publisher profits.

Wall Street Journal: Yesterday, Apple unveiled a payment service that would allow publishers or developers to receive subscription payments for iOS apps, with Apple taking a 30 percent cut. Today, Google unveiled a similar service called One Pass that only takes a 10 percent cut.

So far, two German publishers have signed up for One Pass, and several publishers from other countries plan to do so soon.
