The PlayBook should debut in March or April for under $500.

Wall Street Journal: At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, RIM co-CEO Jim Balsillie said that the much-anticipated PlayBook tablet is on track to ship in March or April. Unlike many other tablets, the PlayBook will run on 4G networks, which may help it distinguish itself from the competition.

According to Balsillie, the device will cost less than $500, and carrier subsidies may drop the price further. The company already has a deal with Sprint and is working to get deals with other U.S. network providers.
