Nokia and Microsoft Partner to Build Windows Phone 7 Devices

Windows Phone 7 will now be Nokia's "primary smartphone strategy."

Time: On Friday, Nokia and Microsoft announced a new partnership that would result in Nokia smartphones running the Windows Phone 7 operating system. In addition, Microsoft will use Nokia's mapping services in its products, and all Web searches on Nokia devices will be powered by Bing. Nokia's app store will also be integrated with Microsoft Marketplace.

The two companies have not said when the new phones will become available for end users.
