Hackers Hit 'At Least Five Oil and Gas Firms'

The "Night Dragon" attacks have been stealing company secrets for years.

BBC News: A new report from security vendor McAfee says that a group of hackers have been penetrating the networks of a dozen oil and gas companies since November of 2009. Five of the energy firms have confirmed the attacks. The group reportedly stole company secrets that would have been worth substantial sums to competitors.

The report refers to the attacks as the "Night Dragon" attacks, and circumstantial evidence suggests that the perpetrators may have been Chinese.
