Lines are long at Apple and Verizon stores.

InformationWeek: Verizon iPhone 4 models are now on the shelves at Verizon and Apple retail outlets, and customers are braving long lines and cold temperatures to get their hands on one. The phone was briefly available for pre-order by existing Verizon customers on February 3, and buyers could begin placing orders on Apple's Web site yesterday, but this is the first day that they can be purchased directly from the stores.

Reviewers say the Verizon iPhone does offer one big advantage over AT&T iPhones--fewer dropped calls. However, switching from AT&T could cost current customers up to $350 in early termination fees.
