Oracle Issues Emergency Java Patch

Java SE, Java for Business and many other products should be patched immediately.

PCWorld: Oracle has released an emergency update for a Java security vulnerability. "Successful attack of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete Denial of Service) of the Java Runtime Environment," Oracle said. "Java based application and web servers are especially at risk from this vulnerability."

IT managers are urged to update Java SE, Java for Business, and the other Oracle products affected by the bug.
