EMC Launches Low-End Storage Product

The company hopes to attract SMBs with its first sub-$10,000 storage device.

BusinessWeek: EMC is hoping to attract small and medium businesses to its products with a new storage device. While many of EMC's storage systems cost more than $1 million, the new VNXe starts at less than $10,000 and offers a very intuitive interface.

"We're really attacking the low end of the market, which we've never really done before," said EMC's chief marketing officer, Jeremy Burton. "We think that's a huge opportunity for us."
