You can now pay for your coffee with your smartphone.

GigaOm: Building on a successful trial program, Starbucks has announced that it will now accept mobile payments in 7,500 of its stores. In order to use the program, coffee drinkers must download the Starbucks Card Mobile App for iPhone or Blackberry. They can then load the app with money from a credit card or PayPal account. To purchase drinks, the user simply waves the phone in front of the register.

The company is working on an Android version of the app.
