MPack, NeoSploit and Zeus Top Most Notorious Web Attack Toolkit List

According to a new report from security vendor Symantec, about two-thirds of malicious Web activity utilizes popular attack toolkits.

NetworkWorld: According to a new report from security vendor Symantec, about two-thirds of malicious Web activity results from popular attack toolkits, including MPack (48 percent), NeoSploit (31 percent) and ZeuS (19 percent). The toolkits sell online for between $40 and $8,000. Symantec's Kevin Haley says, "We believe the tremendous growth of malware we've seen in the last two years is driven by these toolkits."

Adult entertainment (i.e., porn) sites and misspellings of those sites are the most likely places for users to encounter malware.
