A subpeona requests supporter information, including e-mail addresses, home addresses and bank account information, because it is "relevant to an ongoing criminal investigation."

Reuters: At the request of the U.S. Department of Justice, a district court has issued a subpoena requesting Twitter's records for several individuals associated with WikiLeaks, including Julian Assange, Bradley Manning, Jacob Appelbaum, Rop Gonggrijp and Birgitta Jonsdottir. The subpoena requests all connection records and session times, IP addresses used to access Twitter, email and residential addresses, billing records and details of bank accounts and credit cards.

Officials from Iceland say they plan to lodge a protest to the investigation. In a statement, WikiLeaks responded to the action by saying it "strongly condemns this harassment of individuals by the U.S. government."
