Android's Users Eclipse iPhone's for First Time, comScore Says

While 25 percent of American smartphone owners say they use an iPhone, 26 percent use Android handsets.

Wall Street Journal: For the three months ended in November, 26 percent of American smartphone owners told comScore that they used an Android phone as their primary phone, while 25 percent said they used an iPhone. That puts Android ahead of iPhone for the first time ever, but RIM's BlackBerry still holds the top spot with 33.5 percent of users.

Overall, comScore says smartphone ownership increased by 64 percent in 2010.
