Amazon app store is now open for Android developers.

PCWorld: Through its developer portal, online retailer Amazon has officially announced its plans to open an Amazon Appstore for Android later this year. The Amazon store will differ from Google's Android Market in several ways: end users will be able to shop from their PCs, the store will offer more detailed information about apps, Amazon reserves the right to set retail prices, and all apps must pass approval (no porn allowed).

Developers are encouraged to sign up for the program now and can begin submitting applications via the beta developer portal.
