The latest Nielsen data shows that iPhone users are growing, but Android users are growing even faster.

InformationWeek: The latest Nielsen data shows that Apple's iPhone remains in the number one spot among smartphone users, but just barely. Both iPhone and Android gained users in November 2010, with iPhone growing from 27.9 percent the month prior to 28.6 percent and Android increasing from 22.7 percent in to 25.8 percent. That puts Android in third place behind RIM's BlackBerry, which continued it's slide, falling from 27.4 percent in October to 26.1 percent in November.

Among users who purchased a phone in the last six months, 40.8 percent bought Androids, 26.9 percent bought iPhones, and 19.2 percent bought BlackBerry devices.
