Chrome Finishes 2010 with 10 Percent Share

Chrome and Safari are increasing in popularity at Internet Explorer's expense.

Cnet: NetApplications has released its December 2010 browser market share statistics. Chrome was the big winner, increasing from 9.3 percent in November to a 10 percent share in December. Apple's Safari also gained .3 percent to hit 5.9 percent, while Firefox stayed flat at 22.8 percent.

Microsoft's Internet Explorer lost users, falling from 58.4 percent to 57.1 percent. However, the Internet Explorer 9 beta did show an increase in its number of users.
