The biggest tech acquisition of the year was CenturyLink's purchase of Qwest for $22 billion. 2010 was a big year for tech mergers and acquisitions. InternetNews put together a list of the top deals. Here are the biggest five:

  1. CenturyLink acquires Qwest. Value: $22 billion.
  2. Intel acquires McAfee. Value: $7.7 billion.
  3. SAP acquires Sybase. Value: $5.8 billion.
  4. HP acquires 3PAR. Value: $2.4 billion.
  5. Attachmate acquires Novell. Value: $2.2 billion.
