Microsoft Forced to Recall Outlook 2007 Update

Monday Dec 20th 2010 by Staff

The December Outlook update had three quality issues.

ComputerWeekly: If you installed the December Outlook 2007 update, Microsoft says that you should un-install it immediately. The update contained three bugs that could cause problems: failure to connect to secure password authentication (SPA), slow switching between folders and problems with the auto-archive feature.

"We failed to meet our own and our customers' expectation for quality with this update release. We are working to fix these issues and will post a release date for those fixes, and link to download them, as soon as that information is available," Microsoft wrote in a blog post.
