FBI: Executives at Dell, AMD Sold Inside Information

The bureau arrested four executives from publicly traded tech companies on charges related to insider trading.

Computerworld: The Federal Bureau of Investigation has arrested four executives from publicly traded technology companies. Daniel Devore, a former supply chain manager for Dell; Mark Longoria, formerly a supply chain manager with Advanced Micro Devices; Walter Shimoon, a senior director of business development with Flextronics International; and Manosha Karunatilaka, an account manager with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company are accused of selling inside information to James Fleishman of Primary Global. Primary Global sells market research data to hedge funds.

"The information trafficked by the four 'consultants' went way beyond permissible market research," said the FBI.
