Time: Time has named Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg "Person of the Year" for 2010, the second youngest person ever to be so honored. The magazine writes that Facebook "is the connective tissue for nearly a tenth of the planet. Facebook is now the third largest country on earth and surely has more information about its citizens than any government does. Zuckerberg, a Harvard dropout, is its T-shirt-wearing head of state."
The runners up for the honor were Julian Assange, Hamid Karzai, the Chilean miners and the Tea Party.
