InformationWeek: Oracle has unveiled a new line of Solaris servers powered by 16-core Sparc T3 processors. The line includes a supercluster--dozens of servers tied together with Oracle's InfiniBand switching fabric, Real Application Clusters software and Sun's FlashFire storage acceleration. The supercluster also makes use of an Exalogic Elastic Cloud T3-1B, which uses Flash memory to improve performance.
