Google Search Engine Now Detects Bad Businesses

The search giant says it will lower the rankings of companies that provide bad service.

PCWorld: A recent New York Times article revealed that receiving bad online reviews could actually boost a company's ranking in Google's search engine. Now, Google says it has made changes so that businesses with bad reviews will receive lower rankings.

"I am here to tell you that being bad is, and hopefully will always be, bad for business in Google's search results," Google Fellow Amit Singhal wrote in a blog post.
