ICE seizes at least 70 different domains, including a BitTorrent search engine and three music sharing sites.

NY Times: The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) division of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has begun cracking down on sites that promote the piracy of movies and music. Although ICE did not release official numbers, blog posts say the agency seized the domains of at least 70 Web sites, including a BitTorrent search engine and three popular music sharing sites. Visitors to those sites now see a notice that reads, “This domain name has been seized by ICE — Homeland Security Investigations, pursuant to a seizure warrant issued by a United States District Court.”

Many of the affected sites have simply switched their operations to a new Web address.
