Both Google and Bing increased their market share in October.

eWeek: According to comScore, both Google and Microsoft Bing increased their share of the search market in October. Google increased from 66.1 percent in September to 66.3 percent in October, while Bing grew from 11.2 percent to 11.5 percent.

Susquehanna Research suggests that some of Google's growth may result from its implementation of the Google Instant predictive search feature, saying it "appears to have had a favorable impact on overall core query volumes."
