Revamped Adobe X platform allows users to include more types of content in PDF files and to work with the files from anywhere.

Newsfactor: On Monday, Adobe rolled out a revamped version of its Acrobat platform that moves PDF creation to the cloud and adds more collaboration features. Called "Adobe X," the new platform allows users to embed paper documents, e-mail, photos, spreadsheets, web-site content, audio files, and even Flash video clips within PDF documents. They can then access, edit and view those documents from anywhere, including mobile devices, via Acrobat.com.

The company also rolled out a service called "SendNow" that makes it easier for workers to exchange and collaborate on PDF documents. And a CreatePDF feature makes it easier to turn other types of documents into PDF files.
