PCWorld: Facebook's new messaging service may not be a "Gmail killer," but it does offer new features for business users that put it in competition with Google Apps. The communication tool now integrates with Microsoft Office Web Apps. Users can easily attached spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations or Word documents to messages they send through Facebook. Even users who don't have Office locally installed will be able to work with the documents via the Web apps.
PCWorld writes, "What the Facebook messaging does--especially when the Microsoft Web Apps integration is considered--is make Facebook a more direct competitor for Google Apps as an online platform for business. "
