Nearly 40 percent of the fixes address Flash vulnerabilities; 42 percent solve problems in Apple code.

InformationWeek: On Wednesday, Apple pushed out OS X 10.6.5 and Security Update 2010-007, which fixes a record 131 security vulnerabilities. Approximately 40 percent of the vulnerabilities relate to Adobe Flash, while 42 percent of the updates patch holes in Apple's own code.

Security expert Graham Cluley of vendor Sophos said Apple users should not put off installing the update. "Many of the vulnerabilities could be exploited by malicious hackers to run unauthorized code on your Mac computer, opening you up to the potential of being spied upon, having information stolen, or cybercriminals commandeering your Mac into becoming part of a botnet," he added.
